Experience and expertise

Einar Birkir is an electrical engineer with a BSc in Electrical Engineering from Ingeniørhøjskolen i Århus (now Aarhus University – AU Engineering) and an MSc in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark, DTU, in Copenhagen. He has more than 25 years of management experience across information technology, financial services, telecommunications and public administration.

Throughout his career, he has worked with digital development, operations, strategy, organisational change, project management and information security. His approach is grounded in ensuring that technology creates practical value and supports clear objectives, sound management and effective execution.

Teaching and coaching

Teaching and team coaching

Einar Birkir has taught at the University of Iceland for fourteen academic years. His teaching has included strategy, finance, budgeting, human resource management and project management. He has also taught subjects related to cybersecurity, information security and European security requirements.

As an ACTC-certified team coach, he works with leaders and teams to strengthen trust, clarify shared direction and improve ways of working. This experience also informs digital solutions such as TeamCompass and TransformCompass, which help users assess their current position, build a shared understanding and identify practical next steps.
